Purpose of the CONTEST:

Create a candle of a new design DOBELE CASTLE. The ancient castle of Dobele is one of the main tourist attractions and historical prides of the Dobele County. Its revival in a new form has facilitated it to become one of the main symbols of Dobele.

We participated for the first time at the international trade fair The Christmasworld in Frankfurt which took place from 26 till 30 January.
We are continuing to strengthen our presence at international trade fairs as these are very important venues where manufacturers, traders and buyers from all over the world can meet.
We were glad to welcome anyone at our stand, who was inspired by our products and the wide range of candles produced here in Europe, in Latvia, in the city of Dobele.

The State Labor Inspectorate is organizing an informative event – BE SURE THAT THE WORK IS SAFE. With the help of this campaign, they want to invite employers and employees to pay attention importance of compliance with labor protection requirements.
On December 8, representatives of the State Labor Inspection visited us, accompanied by the legendary hockey player Oleg Sorokin. To present the company with a Letter of Appreciation and commend us for good achievements in labor protection issues.

Municipality in county of Dobele and Adult Education and Entrepreneurship Support Center of Dobele organized the competition “ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR IN COUNTY OF DOBELE 2023”.

The purpose of the competition is to identify and honor regional businessmen who actively and honestly worked in their industry, contributing to the development of the business environment in the region.
Our company was nominated in 2 nominations “PRODUCER OF THE YEAR and “EMPLOYER OF THE YEAR” of Dobeles region.
Thanks to the daily hard work and continuous support and cooperation of the internal team, we have also received recognition and evaluation from the Dobele region as “EMPLOYER OF THE YEAR”.
We are grateful that the company’s performance in the region is noticed and appreciated.

On September 1, 2023 Baltic candles Ltd obtained a quality management system certificate – in the field of candle design development, production and sales.
It confirms that the company’s quality management system meets the requirements of the international ISO 9001:2015 standard. It applies to all Baltic candles Ltd structural units, incl. online store.
Certification means an internationally recognized proof of our ability to provide sustainable and quality products, as well as our ability to continuously develop. Such confirmation is important both for our customers and cooperation partners, as well as for employees.

The Midsummer holiday ‘’Jāņi’’ is the most colorful holiday of June, where the typical tradition is weaving of wreaths and singing of songs. While waiting for the Midsummer holiday, company employees were invited with their family members to join and celebrate together. Singing, dancing and participating in activities made a fantastic day in nature.

Fire is a fundamental part of the Midsummer celebration – where everyone joins to lit a bonfire just before the sunset.

Three years in a row, we have applied for evaluation of our company, and each year we have received Bronze recognition for the Sustainability Index.

With gratification, after additional improvements in the direction of sustainability, we have received a SILVER rating for the Sustainability Index.

Baltic candles Ltd participated in the cleaning of the Bērze river and Ķestermežs territories as part of the World Cleanup day 2023, which took place on April 22.

Cleaning the territory of Dobele is important for the company and gathering to work together is a satisfaction to make our favorite outdoor leisure place more beautiful!

The purpose of a Shadow Day is to introduce students to the requirements of various professions and industries in order to help young people choose a profession and prepare accordingly for the labor market.
